The quality of the source water is crucial for the successful operation of a reef aquarium. Inadequate water treatment often leads to the introduction of heavy metals such as copper, but also nutrients such as silicates and nitrate. We recommend performing such a check at least every 6 months, or whenever problems arise in the aquarium. The reverse osmosis/ultrapure water analysis is also suitable for analyzing tap water. This allows you to determine whether the tap water already meets all the criteria for aquarium use.
