Description
Caulerpa brachypus is an attractive, fast-growing green macroalgae characterized by its distinctive branching growth form. Like other species of the genus Caulerpa, it has an intense green coloration and can quickly spread over larger areas under suitable conditions.
Care in a Marine Aquarium
This species is generally suitable for well-lit marine aquariums and can be used both in refugiums and as a decorative macroalgae.
Lighting: Medium to high
Flow: Moderate

Special Features
- Attractive green coloration
- Fast growth under suitable conditions
- Absorbs nutrients such as nitrate and phosphate from the water
- Well suited for marine refugiums
- Should be regularly trimmed and controlled
Important
As Caulerpa can grow very quickly, its spread should be monitored regularly in the aquarium. When trimming, it is recommended to remove all cut-off pieces completely from the aquarium to prevent the algae from spreading uncontrollably.
Suitable for: Marine aquariums • Refugiums • Macroalgae systems
Note: Actual growth and care requirements may vary depending on aquarium conditions, lighting, nutrient levels, and water flow.
